This article from LifeHacker, while slanted more toward urgency as handed down from atop the corporate ladder, speaks to why I have not written in this blog all these months. My clients enjoy an urgency when they call on me to assist them. I believe it is why they are happy with me and my work. In fact, many have expressed nothing short of amazement that I answer my phone almost every time, and then in turn get their work done often within that day. Apparently, this has not been their experience.

This is not necessarily a conscious strategy on my part; it was just the way I was raised and the way I think. Being in business for myself, I can control how I manage my time and my clients’ expectations. Turns out it also is a good way to edge out your competition, by being more responsive than the next guy.

So, with this post, I begin writing in my blog again (but not at the expensive of my clients’ time). In the coming weeks, look for some case studies on the projects we have been working on over the last year. Hopefully, they will inspire you to take a look at your own sites and judge whether or not they are living up to your goals and expectations.
